February 5, 2011 Dear Saketians, Sub: Background Notes for today’s ALM meeting. Firstly, congratulations to all of you for making the inauguration program a grand success. The Municipal Commissioner too loved the gathering and when I had gone to him to give the ‘Thanksgiving letter’, he mentioned that the quality of the function was very high and that he would like to come again to Saket. 1. Friends, coming to today’s agenda, the first issue which all Saketians face is of DOG MENACE. This problem is not new but sadly due to the complex laws in the country, no solution can be found to solve the problem. If anyone wants to feed Dogs- he or she may do so outside the gates of the complex – preferably at least 100 meters away from society premises. I request you all to locate such spots and then popularize them amongst a

I want to bring to your notice that the following points have been missed out in the minutes and should be incorporated: 1. While speaking out on the R&B Sub-committee, I had pointed out that as our sub-committee was a purely advisory committee, we should not make any recommendations as regards to appointment of Contractors and leave it to the Managing Committee to take a call on the same. 2. Mr Gautam Mazumdar had spoken that with the submission of the Report the task of the R&B Committee has ended and that it had ceased to exist automatically, as the terms of reference have been du

Never trust a Cricketer - Hilarious

Enjoy “NEVER TRUST A CRICKETER "Come all ye fair young maidens and harken unto me, Never trust a cricketer, whoever he may be. Randier than a sailor who's been six months at sea, Never let a cricketer's hand an inch above your knee. First let's take the paceman, pure speed from first to last! My darlings do be careful; his balls are hard and fast. Then there's the medium pacer, his balls swing either way; He's really most persistent and can keep it up all day! And watch for the off-spinner, girls, another awkward chap. If you leave him half an opening, he will slip one through the gap! Then there's the wily 'slowy', pure cunning is his strength; He'll tempt you, then he'll trap you with his very subtle length. So ladies, do be careful, your mothers would agree. Never trust a cricketer, whoever he may be. And what about the opening bat, his struggles never cease! He has only one ambition, to spend all day at the crease. The number t

HOW IN RS. 10/- ONLY, YOU CAN SAVE 1,81,000 LITRES WATER PER DAY..

RIGHTEOUS FOUNDATION HOW DOES THE SAVE WATER KIT (SPRING) SAVE UPTO 30% WATER: A Simple calculation to illustrate the utility of the spring: ■A typical Indian household uses appx. 300 gallons ( 1350 litres) water per day. ■75% of this is used in the Bathroom ■15 % is used in the kitchen ■10 % is used for other purposes. Take an example of Saket Complex – 672 flats – Water consumption ■Ø 1350 ltrs. X 672 = 9,07,200 litres (appx) of water consumed by the complex everday. ■Ø Assuming that all use the spring and instead of 30%, we calculate @ 20% only, even then, ■Ø 20% of 9,07,200 ltrs. Is 1,81,200 litres of water that can be saved. The same example shown over 1000 flats : ■Ø 1350 ltrs x 1000 = 13,50,000 litres (appx) water consumed per day. ■Ø 20% of this is 2,70,000 litres of water that can be saved every day. THE COST OF THE KIT IS RS. 10/- ONLY AND WE ARE DOING THIS AS A SOCIAL COMMITMENT AND NOT A COMMERCIAL VENTURE. Just enhance this picture over your ward, your constituency, your

SAVE WATER - RESPECT WATER PROJECT

Our NGO Righteous Foundation distributed 2000 Save Water springs to the residents of Sahakar Nagar in Pune. This user friendly spring costing just Rs 10/- can save upto 30% of water per household per day. Saving Water is the need of the day. Last year, for the first time, Mumbai City and surroundings were hit by a 25% water cut. For a city which was never ever short of water, this water cut came as a huge jolt. People started wondering as to how, even with a good monsoon and news of lakes overflowing, was there a shortage of water. The fact of the matter was that though the major lakes supplying water to Mumbai were over flowing, all the lakes had gathered silt upto 6 feet- which was never cleaned. So if you spread over the silt over the total surface area of the lakes – and you have that much less storage of water every year. Water is necessary for the sustenance of human life. While at times, when the monsoons are good, the supply seems abundant. However one must understand

WELCOME TO SCAM CAPITAL OF WORLD "INDIA"

WELCOME TO SCAM CAPITAL OF WORLD "INDIA" On 1st December 2010 two honorable judges of Supreme Court of India Mr. J.S.Singhvi and Mr. A.K.Ganguly commented on a ruling as corruption in India has spread across us like the deadliest disease cancer. It is more contaminated then the contaminated water of river Ganga. Citing a scam of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) in Orissa both of them criticized the union government of not taking any steps to prevent this type of huge corruption. In Orissa 74% of the total money sanctioned in this scheme had been siphoned off by corrupt leaders, bureaucrats and officials. Let's have a look on the various scams of the largest democracy of world. The biggest scam is 2G spectrum scam where the amount involved is above 1,76,000 crores of rupees. 85 Licensed companies including Tata, Ambani and Mittals are involved in this spectrum scam. It is very unfortunate that one of the corporate industrialists commented publicly that
