  सतर्क नागरिक फौंडेशन ® एकविरा अपार्टमेंट, उथळसर, ठाणे (प) ४००६०१ डिसेंबर २९, २०२० प्रति, मा. पोलिस आयुक्त, मुंबई मा. पोलिस आयुक्त, ठाणे महोदय, येणाऱ्या नववर्षाच्या आपल्याला हार्दिक शुभेच्छा. कोविड महामारीतून आपण बाहेर पडत असताना हळूहळू सर्व गोष्टी पूर्वपदावर येत असताना मुंबई व ठाणे शहरातील वहातुक समस्येविषयी काही गोष्टी आपल्या नजरेस आणून द्याव्या म्हणून हा पत्र प्रपंच. एकेकाळी अत्यंत शिस्तशीर वाहतुकीसाठी प्रसिद्ध असणार्‍या मुंबईमध्ये आणि ठाण्यात आजकाल वाहतुकीचे नियम पाळणारे लोकच मूर्ख ठरू लागले आहेत.  दुर्दैवाची गोष्ट म्हणजे यास वाहतूक पोलीस विभागही बऱ्यापैकी जबाबदार आहे.  आपल्या समोरून चुकीच्या दिशेने किंवा हेल्मेट न परिधान करता सुसाट जाणाऱ्या  दुचाकीस्वारांना हटकणे तर दूरच राहिले, वाहतूक पोलीस त्यांच्याकडे बघतही नाही. हे दृश्य संपूर्ण मुंबईत  आणि ठाण्यात दिसते.  अशी परिस्थिती मुंबईत असल्यास महाराष्ट्रात किंवा देशात काय परिस्थिती असेल याचा विचार करता अंगावर काटा येतो.  मास्क वापरण्यास नकार, हेलमेट वापरण्यास नकार, वाहतूक नियंत्रण नियमांचे पालन करण्यास नकार आणि दुचाकीवर तीन - प्रसंगी
