Dear Sir,
Sub :Petition to Stopping of Heavy Vehicles on Saket (Internal) Rd. – From Mahalaxmi Temple to the Highway.
SAKET PARISAR ADVANCED LOCALITY MANAGEMENT GROUP is a nonprofit organization formed by the residents of Saket Complex and Saket Towers for the betterment and upliftment of the Saket Parisar as a whole.
The key areas in which the organization is active is addressing issues like Environment, Pollution, General Hygiene, Beautification and Traffic woes of the area.
We want to highlight to you one of the main problems of traffic faced by the residents of the complex.
• We have a Mahalaxmi Temple in our Complex. A service road passes from the Mahalaxmi Temple, passing our buildings no. A7 to A10 and then further goes and joins the Highway.
• This service road is basically a internal road of the complex but it was also used by public vehicles – small cars etc. from the beginning as a link to the highway.
• We have 2 gardens – Nana Nani Park and Children’s Park apart from the Temple on one side of this service road. On the other side are our society buildings no. A7 to A10.
• Since the past couple of years, we find that there is a tremendous increase in the movement of heavy vehicles on this road.
• Dumpers, Trucks, Trailers, Tanker and Company Buses frequent this road through day and night causing a nuisance to all the residents.
• To reach the Temple, Nana Nani Park and Children’s Park, the Children, Senior Citizens and Ladies of the complex have to cross this road.
• The movement of heavy vehicles is posing a grave threat to the safety of all these people.
• Already over a dozen minor and semi major accidents have already taken place and the residents are scared that unless this movement is stopped, a major accident may occur one day.
• The increased movement of heavy vehicles has destroyed the peace of our locality and the residents have to face a lot of inconvenience due to this menace.
• The truck drivers don't have any traffic sense. They keep on honking and drive recklessly. Residents in the area need a permanent solution to the problem as safety of the schoolchildren and elderly was being compromised due the movement of heavy vehicles in the area.
In the past also we had complained about the harassment caused by the drivers of trucks and water tankers and had even lodged a police complaint in this regard. Then, for some days the movement stopped only to restart again.
Hence, with the view of safety and security of the residents, children, ladies and senior citizens of the area, we request you to kindly and immediately STOP the movement of all Heavy Vehicles – trucks, water tankers, company buses, trailers etc on this internal service road from Mahalaxmi Temple to the Highway and oblige.
