Shift IPL out of Maharashtra this year due to drought conditions

Sub: Request to shift IPL matches out of Maharashtra this year. Dear Sirs, What a coincidence that you both are from Nagpur, Vidarbha, which along with Marathwada region is reeling under the worst drought conditions the state has witnessed in many years. Over 15,000 villages in the state are affected by this drought. Farmers are committing suicides unable to combat the situation. The Maharashtra Govt. is grappling to find a solution for the problem. On this backdrop, the IPL begins from April 9, 2016. 16 matches are planned to be played in 3 Centers of Maharashtra - Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur. Sir ji, it is estimated that roughly 80,000 to 1,00,000 litres per application, are required to maintain a Cricket ground in good condition. Every week one has to have 3 such applications. So, 1 lakh x 3 = 3 lakh litres of water every week x 4 weeks ...
