*सेफ ड्रिंकिंग कसे असावे.....* मद्य व केवळ पाणी यांचे मिश्रण सर्वोत्तम.  कारण मद्याने शरीरारील पाण्याचे प्रमाण कमी होते. ते सोबतच्या पाण्याने भरून निघते. मद्य व सोडा यांचे मिश्रण त्यातील कार्बन-डाय-ऑक्साईड मुळे जठरात चांगले शोषले जाते. तसेच सोडा हा फक्त पाणी व कार्बन-डाय-ऑक्साईडचे मिश्रण असल्याने पोटातील अॅसिडिटीची पातळी वाढत नाही.  उपाशी पोटी 60ml चा एक पेग (ज्याला large पेग म्हणतात) ग्लासात घेऊन त्यात 150ml वा अधिक पाणी/सोडा घालून तयार झालेलं मिश्रण अगदी हळूहळू घोटघोट घेण्याने अपेक्षित नशा मद्याच्या थोड्याशाच मात्रेने येऊ शकते.  त्यासोबत एखादा तळलेला पापड वगैरे असेल तर त्याने वर सांगितल्याप्रमाणे जठराचे स्नायूंचे दरवाजे बंद होऊन मद्याचे शोषण त्वरित होऊ लागते. मद्य फळांच्या रसाबरोबर घेण्याने शरीराला आवश्यक पाणी व चोथा दोन्ही मिळतात.  तसेच त्यातील शर्करा रक्तातील साखरेची कमी होणारी पातळीही थोडीफार नियंत्रणात ठेवते. मद्याचे शोषण होण्यासाठी त्याला चयापचय प्रक्रियेची फारशी गरज नसते. पण ते रक्तप्रवाहात मिसळून त्याचा मेंदूवर परिणाम होण्यासाठी काही वेळ जाणे आव
