*शेतकरी चळवळीचे भवितव्य आणि आव्हाने* शरद जोशींच्या पश्चात शेतकरी चळवळीचे भवितव्य काय, असा प्रश्न अनेकांना सतावत आहे. शेतकरी चळवळ शरद जोशींनी एवढ्या उंचीवर नेऊन ठेवली, की ती उंची पार करण्याचा विचार राहू द्या; त्या उंचीच्या आसपास पोचण्याचीही नेतृत्वक्षमता कुणात नाही, ही वास्तविकता नजरेआड करता येत नाही. जोशींनी कुत्र्याचे शेपूट सरळ होईल, पण शेतकरी संघटित होणार नाही, या पारंपरिक समजुतीला उभा-आडवा-तिरका छेद देत शेतकरी संघटित केला, नुसताच संघटित केला नाही, तर शेतकऱ्यांच्या मनात स्वाभिमानाने जगण्याचे बीजारोपण केले. ताठ मानेने व मूठ आवळून जगायचा मूलमंत्र दिला. देशातील इतर नागरिकांसारखे सन्मानाने जगता यावे म्हणून रस्त्यावर उतरून लढण्याची प्रेरणा दिली. प्रचलित अर्थवादाला कलाटणी देऊन शेतीच्या अर्थवादाच्या उत्क्रांतीची दिशा बदलण्यात शरद जोशी शतप्रतिशत यशस्वी झालेले आहेत. शेतीला मध्यवर्ती स्थानी ठेवून विचारांची गुंफण करणाऱ्या द्रष्ट्या नेत्याच्या पश्चात आता तोच वसा घेऊन पुढील वाटचाल करायचे काम शेतकरी चळवळीसमोर असायला हवे. पण दुर्दैवाने तसे होताना दिसत नाही. शेतकरी चळवळीसाठी हा संक्रमणकाळ असल्य

Day care centers (Crèches) should allow parents to leave their children in a secure and educational environment while at work. Regulation of trucks / heavy vehicles is extremely necessary in Thane to avoid the almost perennial traffic jams on Ghodbunder Road, Majiwade junction, Saket Road, Kalwa Bridge, Central Maidan, Kopri Bridge, Cadbury junction - to name a few. Manusmriti never derogated women. Leaders of some parties have started a vicious campaign to create a division in the society. Respected Sir, The traffic scenario in Thane is becoming pathetic as the vehicles are increasing.  Not following traffic signals, parking/stopping in middle of road, many cars barging in to take turn, no respect to pedestrians are becoming very common and a big nuisance. It is high time the traffic police do their job really well. Given that Thane is next door to the finance capital of India, the traffic management is way too below par. The number of vehicles having been increasing at a very rapid rate( appx 15,000/year), but the Traffic management is way too behind to cope up with the same. Being senstiive Thane-ites we would like the following points to be implemented: - Increase the traffic police staff at RTO's to keep pace with increasing number of vehicles. May 16, 2017 Alert Citizens Forum of India welcomes the decision of the Thane Municipal Corporation to explore and start Water Transport as an alternative mode of transport for Thane. On June 4, 2016, Alert Citizens Forum had given a memorandum to the Municipal Commissioner suggesting that the TMC should explore possibility of starting Water Transport and Tourism in Thane. The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has identified one potential route, and two conceptual routes for the ambitious Inland Water Transport (IWT) network covering a total distance of 124 km. The project has been divided into two phases, of which the potential route under phase one has been identified as Vasai- Mira Bhayandar-Ghodbundar Road-Kolshet-Saket-Diva- Bhiwandi-Kalyan which covers a distance of 46 km. Respected Sir, The process of extraditing Vijay Mallya started on April 18, 2017. As a part of the process he was arrested and then later released on bail.  The Indian government has taken up this issue with the British government at the highest level. What this suggests that there is a political will to get Mallya back to India and prosecute him. Indeed, that is a very good thing.  Having said that, in an ocean of corporate defaulters and bad loans of banks, Vijay Mallya is a very small fish.
