In a bid to recover the pending dues to various lenders, the official liquidator has set a reserve price of Rs 37,392 crore for the property.  The development comes just after three days of the Supreme Court declining to stay the auction of Sahara's properties despite the group claiming to have sold its two New York hotels and that it would generate $1.67 billion against 26% equity in its Aamby Valley property near Pune to pay its dues to the capital market regulator  SEBI . [This the probably the first time that the government has allotted temporary accommodation to residents of collapsed buildings in such a short period on humanitarian grounds] The Maharashtra  state government  on Monday, August 14, 2017 cleared the file to allot  temporary accommodation  to the families who lived in the Ghatkopar building that collapsed under the project-affected people scheme until their building is rebuilt. On July 25, the ground-plus-four storey Siddhi Sai Cooperative Society in Ghatkopar was reduced to rubble, killing 17 persons, including two infants.
