The Hon. Chief Minister,
Govt of Maharashtra,
Mantralaya,
Mumbai.

Sub: Request to Declare 'The Kashmir Files' Tax-Free in Maharashtra.

Respected Sir,

Unlike what was wrongly announced by Home Minister Shri Dilip Walse Patil, The Kashmir Files' film, is a story, based on video interviews of the first generation victims of the Genocide of Kashmiri Pandit Community In 1990.

Written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri and Produced by Zee Studios, the film depicts the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from Kashmir following systematic killings of people from the community by Pakistan-backed terrorists.

It stars Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi among others.

This film depicts for the first time the "correct and true depiction of atrocities inflicted by Muslim terrorists on the Hindu community" in Jammu and Kashmir.

Exempting it from Entertainment taxes will enable more people to go and see the reality of how Hindus were tortured and massacred and thrown out of Kashmir Valley by radical Islamic terrorists.

Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh Government's decided to Make 'The Kashmir Files' movie tax-free.

We therefore request you that the film 'The Kashmir Files' be exempted from entertainment tax in the state.

Regards,
