Chinese were thrashed by Indian soldiers

China is used to seeing one facet of the Indian Army. That of soldiers who are polite and deferring, not keen on picking up an altercation, usually giving way. Showing passivity to aggression. They thought that this was the Indian character. What they didn't understand was, this was the Indian Army discipline.

The Indian Army will take a hit, but, if ordered to not respond, they won't respond. This kind of discipline is unknown to Armies who don't have professional soldiers. And the Chinese Army definitely doesn't have the kind of professional soldiers that Indian army does. Thus, while they, the PLA personnel, thought that it was cool to act like a pack of neighbourhood bullies, the stoicism and temperateness of Indians have been misread by the Chinese for a while now. The docileness of the personnel wasn't on account of National trait. It's brought about by Army higherups who kept suggesting to walk on eggshells, which again is brought about by Indian political leadership, suggesting that Indian Army walk on eggshells. The PLA, given much freer rein, was interpreting all this as a 'walkover'.

What transpired on 15th was, as previously posted, a party which had gone to dismantle a post on a ledge or to ask for an excavator to be removed (which must be the reason that there was also a driver amongst them). This party was waylaid by Chinese and held hostage. To ease the situation and to negotiate the release, the CO had rushed with another patrol to ensure release. He was bushwacked in cold blood and killed in a vicious attack, along with the two soldiers who had gone with him.

The backup force was of only 50 odd individuals. They could have had retreated and called in for reinforcement. Especially as there were at least 300 or more Chinese soldiers facing them. All armed. But, they had watched their CO being killed in coldblood. And a CO is like a father to a regiment. Love him or hate him, he is the father figure. The 50-60 odd Bihari soldiers, now triggered, forgot all the injunctions on them. They charged on the Chinese in a charge of a light brigade, the likes of which possibly haven't been seen since the Crimean charge.

They charged into the very gully where possibly 500 more Chinese soldiers laid in wait. But the crazed Biharis were not looking out for their own safekeeping. They were out to avenge! With whatever they had.

They not only rushed the Chinese but went well into the Chinese territory chasing the Chinese. However, NONE, used their rifles to shoot. Orders after all. The rifles were put to all other kinds of use in a manner which the Chinese will have gotten newfound respect for INSAS which they never earlier had.

They intruded into well into the other side and rained upon the backtracking PLA platoon, one of the most wildly fearsome attacks of primitive fight methods, without guns blazing, anyone could ever witness in modern military history! The poor Chinese couldn’t make out what hit their sorry souls. The 60 were like a monster unleashed on the Chinese in a very confined space.

"At least fifteen PLA soldiers were left with their necks snapped, dangling from their body, few had their vertebrae broken indicating massive force being exerted on their bodies pointing to a gruesome frontal assault and few had their faces charred probably stoned heavily. Some of those PLA soldiers were thrown in the gorge nearby and in this melee, few of our soldiers went down as well. The Indian soldiers who came back and narrated this were excited to tell how they heard PLA soldiers screaming at high pitched girly voices.

"Few of the Chinese soldiers, whose body was later returned, had their guts spilling out probably while the lucky ones managed to escape in nearby mountains when PLA troops multiplied, after being informed from their squadron about the attack. The troops came back only to see a pool of bodies lying."

What's the true figure of casualties from the Chinese side?

It's possibly a lot more than the reported 43. Estimating would be conjecture. But could easily be over 100.

"While some of Biharis who came back were screaming in agony on account of their wounds, yet at the same time, they were at peace and continuously chanting war cries to have avenged their fallen commander.

"Now the silence is all over the camp but the next batch of soldiers are pumped up if the situation be. Few soldiers have been airlifted to army hospitals, while they have their morales high; they miss their commander in chief and comrades. The sentiment across PLA is furious and battalions are ready for a full-fledged war but top commanders aren’t willing to take the risk, upon seeing the damage inflicted."

From reports, the Indian side, which hasn't been trained in melee tactics, but adapted, taught the Chinese side what a good old bayonet charge is like!

"They held another meeting after the attack in which some of our soldiers went secretly armed with khukuri and other objects but gladly that meeting went without a repeat of the last event. The tone of PLA Colonel was sympathetic and he was willing to restore the status quo."

There has been similar unleashing by Indian Army at various other points on LAC.

So here is the deal. By agreeing to the border conduct agreement, the first side which breaches this commandment will be international pariahs. The Chinese had come in with a lot of preparations towards how they would circumvent the agreement. But, unfortunately, they boiled things down to taking technology out of the equation and leaving things to the bare denominator! Man is to man.

And, left Man to Man, the Indian soldiers proved why History holds them in such regard! The stories of what they did are only now just filtering out. Cos the higher-ups would rather not have the stories out so as to not 'inflame' the situation.

What a blessing that the decision to react was taken away from the 'higher-ups' who lose their scrotum to a deep freezer and suddenly turn Gandhian and enforced by the josh of the jawans who were out to protect their 'Izzat'!

Left to official stories, their bravery will be left out of history. Just as Nathula was in 1967. In this case, the Chinese knows. They might try with whatever thingamajig razzmatazz they might have, but, once they face the Indians close up, they know what they will get. It won't be pretty!

A few will truly understand the feat. It is difficult to unless one has visited those heights. The air is so rare that, for an average person, it is tough to walk fast. Let alone run and exert. The head gets dizzy. The temperature is sub-zero. In these conditions, the 60 fought like wildcats for nearly 6 hours! The nation owes them!

THANK GOD FOR THOSE BIHARIS (and the rest who were with them!)
