*My 8 tweets explain the real position of #CAB*:

#CABProvocation 1: As the Citizenship Amendment Bill was passed leftist media and opposition parties have gone on an overdrive in spreading propaganda against CAB are based on lies, or poor understanding of the proposed amendment to the Citizenship Act.
Read on...
#CAB..2: The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 is a bill to give Indian citizenship to illegal migrants who are Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan, who entered India on or before 31 December 2014..
#CABProtests ..3: One of the worst lies being spread is that Indian Muslims need to worry about the bill. Actually, #CAB has nothing to do with Indian citizens, Muslim or otherwise, as it seeks to grant citizenship to religious minorities in Pakistan, Bangladesh & Afghanistan..
#CAB_FactsVsDistortion ..4: No Indian citizen especially Muslims, will be asked to produce any document to prove his citizenship after the CAB is passed - nor would his citizenship be cancelled.
It is just false propaganda being spread by some people..
*My tweets on #CAB 5 to 8:*
#CAB2019...5: CAB is a special one-time measure for the religious minorities who have already come to India after facing persecution in the three specified countries. The amendment does not cancel any of the existing Indian naturalization laws..
#CAB..6: Balochs and Rohingyas are not religious groups, they are ethnic groups. Baloch people are are demanding an independent nation. Rohingyas were targeted after they had attacked other communities, including Hindus, in Myanmar. So there is no case to include them in CAB..
#CABProtests..7: Shias, Ahmediyyas, Balochs and Rohingyas are not included
as these groups are Muslims, & are not recognised as separate religions. They are not minorities in Pakistan, Bangladesh & Afghanistan, which are officially Islamic countries..
#CABReality..8: CAB does not violate any provision of our Constitution.
The constitution of India is for citizens of India, and the CAB is a special provision for people who are not citizens of India. Therefore, it is incorrect to say that CAB violates the constitution..
