Open letter to Amitbhai Shah regarding grievances in the minds of BJP Well wishers and Karyakartas
Open letter to Shri Amitbhai Shah,
Respected Sir,
My name is Dayanand Nene. I am from Mumbai and have been associated with the party since 25 years.
Prior to that I was associated with the Vidyarthi Parishad in Mumbai.
Shri Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, Shri Shyam Jaju and many others know me as I had the privilege of working with them.
At the outset, l am sorry if you feel offended for me writing to you directly.
But as a party activist and well wisher, I felt the need that some one should communicate to you the pent up feelings in the minds of all karyakartas regarding the current political situation in the country.
And hence decided to write to you directly.
Sir, why did the party lose so badly in Bihar ?
Explanations may be many.
Excuses may be even more.
But there is a general feeling that we lost because of our arrogance, disconnect with the Karyakartas & well wishers.
Too much preference on appearance on TV, social media & advertisements - so much that instead of working on the ground level, karyakartas thought that running a political campaign is all about posting on WhatsApp and Facebook and getting likes and thumbs up's...
It is of not much use until you dont reach out to the people, knock on their doors.
Another predominant feeling is that we have alienated our trusted Karyakartas & well wishers.
Several Chamchas are close to power, misusing it & damaging the party.
Congress Dalals are seen inside party offices & ministers cabin.
What we need is grassroots presence & credible grassroots intelligence, feedback, which I feel is lacking.
We need to have our men in the administration at all levels. Preference needs to be given to our people in recruitment.
Why I say this is because I once overheard a conversation of a Congress agent who remarked that they had their men in the administration and still get information from them.
You cant have Congress Mukt Bharat until you dont strike at their roots of power in civic bodies & moles in the administration.
Socialist oriented history needs to be changed. For that Declassify Commission & Committee reports that will hurt the opposition.
We need to strengthen our party's own Media arm - have people who are not just 'yes men' but ones who will provide intelligence and solutions to probable opposition activities and propaganda.
Award Wapsi was a well thought out Congress & Leftist plan.
We were too late to react.
If the Centre & States knew about price rise since April why did we react so late.
We also need to control & stop the loose cannons in the party.
It is felt that we failed to contain rebellion in the party, sidelined several leaders.
The latest opposition campaign is going to be that BJP cannot convert power into long term affair. We don't know how to sustain power.
One can talk more, but the person before us needs to listen.....
On this note, I am ending my letter.
Hope you take this in the right spirit and as a fact and reality opened to you by a activist and karyakarta associated with the party since 25 years.
